The "Diving Deeper" Workshop - Saturday, May 02, 2026

REGISTRATION NOW OPEN / ATTENDANCE LIMITED

For Experienced Yang Style/Cheng Man Ching Style Practitioners: The workshop is based on the postures of Yang Style or Cheng Man Ching Style tai chi chuan. Registrants are expected to have practiced either style, preferably for at least two or three years at a minimum.

The Workshop Agenda: The day’s events will be based on Master Henry Wang’s “Seven Principles” and his partner work method called “Search Center”. The purpose is to help everyone better recognize when their own form practice is producing the optimal “underlying conditions” needed for the nurturing and expression of Tai Chi’s fabled “internal energy” (nei jin). Tips, suggestions, and specific training exercises will be presented. A detailed study of certain form postures and the transitions between them will be featured. The work is designed to aid the development and embodiment of a principles-based tai chi practice. There will also be sessions of cooperative/collaborative “Search Center” partner play. Please join us.

The Presenters: Three of Master Henry Wang's senior instructors will “team teach” this event. Each has studied with Master Wang for more than twenty years and each has been teaching classes for several years.

Five Hours of Instruction: Morning 10:00-12:00PM - Lunch Break (90 minutes) – Afternoon 1:30-4:30PM. Room will remain open during the lunch break.

Workshop Location: The workshop will be held at a prominent, historic building in Seattle’s Beacon Hill neighborhood. Directions and parking information will be provided to registrants.

Attendance Limited / Registration Required:  To allow for more “one-on-one” instructor interactions, participation will be limited. To reserve a spot, registration is required. Sorry, no half-day signups. To avoid being “Wait Listed”, early registration is suggested.

Cost to Attend: Our goal is to continue offering a quality workshop at well below “market rates”. The cost is $50.00/person, payable at the door. Cash or check only. Sorry, no Venmo or other peer-to-peer payments.

To Register or Questions: Please reply directly to tigermt.taichi@yahoo.com.
