body & mind: relaxed... centered... balanced.
Tai Chi Chuan (Taijiquan) is an "internal" style Chinese martial art which promotes health and well being by reducing bodily tension and stress, developing heightened postural awareness, improving balance and coordination, increasing joint flexibility and range of motion, calming the breath and clearing the mind.
Tai Chi Chuan offers practitioners a more relaxed and mobile body unified with a calm and focused mind. Daily practice, done in accord with the art's fundamental principles, is the key to attaining the discipline's many benefits .
Our group's Tai Chi Chuan form classes are based on the 37 posture Short Form (Yang Style) developed by Professor Cheng Man Ching. The instruction follows the "Seven Principles" methods developed by Master Henry Wang and includes his "Search Center" partner work for increasing , nourishing and utilizing one's internal chi.
Visitors are always welcome to observe a class.
